Unlocking True Confidence: A Journey of Self-Belief and Action

The importance of confidence impacts all aspects of our daily lives. Yet, it is something that comes and goes in correlation to the effort we put into maintaining it.

Confidence is not a "one-time" achievement. One does not simply complete an endeavor, however large, and unlock personal confidence for the remainder of their life.

The advantages of confidence are far reaching. It fuels motivation, making it easier to set and achieve goals. It enhances resilience, enabling us to bounce back from setbacks. It also impacts how others see us and the potential impact we can have on the environment around us.

True confidence is accompanied by humility. It is a deep, resonating feeling within an individual and not an outward projection of energy. Oftentimes when individuals imagine building confidence they take the "fake it 'til you make it" approach and try to project themselves as a confident person. This often comes off as arrogance.

We have an innate ability to see through the external ploys deployed by others in an effort to cover up their lack of confidence.

If "fake it 'til you make it" is not an effective method for developing confidence, then what is?

Confidence is first developed in the mind in the form of a filter which attacks the negative words and ideas that plague our consciousness. It later transforms into its objective, outward form when the positive ideas which were granted access manifest themselves into an objective reality with the help of physical action.

Confidence is a skill that is harnessed through the power of exposure. Exposure to new ideas, challenges and information. It is developed through constant action and upholding the promises one makes to oneself on a consistent basis.

If you want to develop genuine, authentic confidence you must be willing to take action. You must be willing to accompany those ideas and aspirations which constantly uncover themselves in your mind with the desire and determination to realize them in actuality.

You must face new challenges which lie outside your comfort zone.
